We serve between 400-500 youth between the ages of 5-15 and their families. Further, our peer counselors also benefit greatly from participating in our program.
Every summer, over 400 young people representing remarkably diverse backgrounds in sharp contrast to city wide trends--43% Hispanic, 19% White, 22% Black, 14% Asian— work with 50 qualified high school and college peer mentors building positive lasting relationships. |

As of 2017, we had 65 active high school and college students in our program.
Of our 36 college students, 25% were college seniors who recently graduated with honors and have moved on to pursuing careers in their respective fields of healthcare, business, and politics. Of our high school students who were seniors, 100% of them graduated and have moved on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree. |
When compared to an overall Portland Public Schools graduation rate of 77%, with significantly lower rates for various groups of minority students and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, our results clearly indicate that TLC TNT provides significant positive impact.
